Case Study: 3.0 TD Toyota Double Cab

There is no job to big or small, Nene Overland was commissioned to advise and recommend the right vehicle and work with the customer to produce a package of equipment that will work in 3rd world locations for long time duration over a number of years. Once completed the 3.0 TD Toyota double cab, supplied new by Nene will be shipped to South America with future trips to Australia and after Africa being planned. The Toyota double cab comes from New Zealand so there will be more support in the Southern Hemisphere if there were any mechanical or other issues. Another strong reason was that the much more powerful 3.0 litre model was not available here in the UK. As you will see we have built this vehicle to do a job, to explore and camp out under the stars for long distances off the beaten track. Extra fuel and water tanks, a purpose built rear steel canopy with full integral roll cage carrying Hannibal rack, awning and roof tent. Second dry cell battery and split charging battery management system. HD suspension, winch and bumper, work lights rear diff lock and much more have been incorporated in this very special Toyota.
