Selling your 4x4 vehicle

We can help you sell your vehicle. If you need to sell your 4x4 but feel it is too specialist to sell privately, you do not have the time or spend a lot of the time out of the UK, or just don't want the hassle of waiting around for private buyers who don’t turn up! then you might consider allowing us to sell it for you, on your behalf. We can collect it from your house or business or anywhere else – even clear it from a UK dock or port, transport it to Nene Overland, clean it, store and insure it and sell it. All funds from the sale – minus a percentage and any other service cost would be deducted, prior to transferring the funds to your account.

You would be advised of any preparation recommendations that might assist the sale, such as cosmetic upgrades – possible paintwork, valeting, servicing, repairs or MOT etc. We would quote you and gain authorisation prior to any work being carried out on your behalf. Any specialist advertising required over and above our normal advertising and promotion would also be charged to the customer.

Nene Overland may also be able to give an underwritten “buy” figure after discussion concerning the possible sale price. This gives the customer the assurance that should a sale not come soon enough, then Nene Overland may be able to buy the vehicle and put it into stock. This is a service that might suit some customers where cash flow is needed sooner rather than later. The main objective is to help our customers maximise sale price. The service is there for all, whatever the circumstances are. Generally we have a small number of vehicles being sold on behalf of our customers. When you view our stock lists, if the description include S.O.R “Sale or Return” you will know we are selling it on behalf of our customer.

Warranty and Charges

Generally, as we are acting as a selling agent no warranty is offered, given or implied when a vehicle is sold on behalf of a third party.

Further services such as MOT, service work etc., would be agreed as a secondary agreement between Nene Overland and the purchaser – unless previously built into the sale price.

10% of the selling price or a minimum of £600 + VAT would be charged to the vendor once the sale has been completed.

Storage would be charged at £20 + VAT per week – from date of arrival of the vehicle until date the vehicle is removed from our premises in the event that the vehicle is unsold and collected/returned to it’s owner.
