Andrew Harrison-Smith – Proprietor
Since 1988 Andrew has been developing Nene Overland alongside an existing farming business which is still a big part of Manor Farm, Ailsworth, specialising in cereals and organic vegetables.
Andrew has an affiliation with Land Rovers since learning to drive his grandfather’s series 1 at the age of 7. He obviously must have picked up his grandfather’s genes who also dealt in Land Rovers, farm machinery and light commercials. Andrew has gone on to travel the world and compete in many extreme off road challenge events whilst developing Nene Overland. Andrew’s passion for all things Land Rovers leads the company forwards alongside the team at Nene Overland.
Andrew drives a Discovery III V8 SE LPG Converted ‘GAS 15 IN’

Tony Fullagar – Vehicle Sales – General Manager
Tony has added a touch of calm professionalism becoming a big part of the vehicle sales department at Nene Overland. Working in the motor trade for almost 30 years now, mainly with strong brands like Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover and other prestige marques he is well equipped to deal with all eventualities, making your buying and after sales experience second to none, with Nene Overland. Due to Tony’s vast knowledge with all manner of vehicles he will hopefully be able to put the right deal on the table when you wish to part exchange.
Like most at Nene, Tony wishes to make the experience as easy as possible, spiced up with a little humour and a hint of seriousness where it counts!
Tony drives a Freelander II TD4 Commercial.

Mick Wright – Workshop Manager
Mick has been a part of Nene Overland for many years managing the workshop and service department at Nene Overland. Mick is a true enthusiast being chairman of the Peterborough 4x4 club for many years. Mick has built various Defenders for off roading and overlanding over the years adding a very sincere element whilst helping service and repair customer’s vehicles, always coming up with the most cost effective solution that should be easy on your pocket. Always pleased to help, Mick’s versatility will shine through while getting your vehicle ready for its next adventure.
Mick drives a 300 TDI Defender 110 County Station Wagon.

Kevin Mackman – Expedition preparation – parts and equipment Sales Manager
Kevin now on his second tour of duty at Nene Overland, having run the parts department previously before choosing to focus on vehicle expedition preparation and logistics, has seen the light and joined the Nene team once again, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion with him.
Kevin’s outgoing friendly jovial ways will add a little fun to your experience at Nene Overland, whether it be parts or equipment for your 4x4 or a full blown vehicle preparation for your trip of a lifetime in some district corner of the globe. His experience will always create the most cost effective, practical end result being very conscientious about cost and practicality for the customer.
Kevin drives a Series III Petrol and Expedition Prepared Ddiscovery.

‘TJ’ Tjeerd Van Linge – Expedition Equipment-Roof Rack and Tent Sales
TJ has added some international flavour to the team at Nene – being a passionate off roader, traveller and Land Rover owner for many years, he was very involved in the Land Rover movement back in Holland and now at Nene Overland.

TJ manages the ‘www.rooftent.co.uk’ web sales site and is the first point of contact for quick accurate product advice on all Hannibal, Autohome-Maggiolina and OZ Tent products. TJ is very much an end user so has first hand camping experience with all tents and roof rack equipment stocked at Nene Overland. So be ready for an interesting blend of Dutch-Anglo Saxon humour backed by lots of energy and enthusiasm for all things 4x4 and outdoors.
TJ drives an Expedition Prepared Defender 90 TD5.

David Rickett
As our stores manager, David is the second longest serving and much valued member of staff. His experience in the motor trade spans 27 years, fifteen of which have been with main dealers. As such, his knowledge of spares is considerable and thereby gives support to both his colleagues and the general public.
David drives a Freelander TD4 3 Door Hard Back.

Kurt Garbutt – Service Adviser
Kurt has been with Nene for many years working as a vehicle technician for 25 years with local franchises and Nene. He is a keen Land Rover owner with a vast knowledge to get you back out on the track again. If Mick is unavailable always ask for Kurt in the Nene Overland service department.
Kurt drives an Offroad Prepared 300 TDI Discovery.

Gerry Barnett – Company Accountant
Gerry is responsible for all accounts and administration. Having joined Nene Overland in the autumn of 1998 she is the longest serving member of staff. Having in the past run her own family business, Gerry has experience in the workplace and a sound book keeping background, and has endeavoured to be a loyal major team player within the company. She is also personal assistant to Andrew, thus involving her in many more aspects of the business.
