Get ready for the Nene 21st Open Weekend Celebrations 20th - 21st June 2009

After such a great weekend to celebrate our 20th year, the 21st weekend was a natural! Come and join us this 20th-21st June for a great weekend of fun for all.

 

21st Anniversary Nene Overland Open Weekend

Camping, partying and off roading for all. All are welcome to visit either Saturday at Nene Overland by day, partying and camping by night, followed by off-roading locally on the Sunday. Read on for full itinerary and further details.

Saturday 20th June

Open day Access all areas at Nene Overland

From 10am to 5pm. Customers old and new will be able to visit and check out our great premises and meet the team at Nene. Various vehicles, equipment and demos will be running through the day with plenty of advise and enthusiasm on hand with our usual light hearted twist.

Party Night Saturday 20th

Dingo Ugly Down Under Oz Bash

All who know Andrew of old knows he loves to throw great parties! This year will be Australian fancy dress so all will be expected to blend into anything Australian! In true Ozzy fashion BYO grog (booze) is order of the day, free hog roast and salad bar, although there will be a large hotplate BBQ for those who wish to cook up their own beef or Kanga steak. Limited supply of water, real ale and soft drinks for the ankle biters will be provided although to save hassle licensing a bar, all are expected to 'BYO' a steady flow of their favourite tipple! A great band and disco with Ozzy surf board to ride and other surprise entertainment lined up to give all the greatest time till the small hours. Children are welcome, however, mums and dads are expected to manage them accordingly with the little ones dragged to camp at an hour to suit.

In support of Help for HeroesWe plan to charge £10 per adult for the party night and give the profits to our chosen charity, Help for Heroes. Other than the £10 per head for the party, everything else over the weekend will be free.

Weekend Camping

Our Dingo campsite is open for all to camp on the Saturday night. Friday and Sunday are available to camp as long as you let us know in advance. True camping - ground or roof tent is encouraged but caravans, motor homes, Ozzy swags or any other creative form of accommodation will be no probs mates.

Sunday 21st June

Off Roading 11am - 4.30pm

We have hired a very special local quarry not known to many. Access will be free. All will sign a disclaimer to take responsibility for any damage or injury while in the quarry 11am - 4.30pm. Generally as most know off road driving is a safe pastime, marshalls and limited instruction will be on hand to help all have a great day. Toilets and 'Roasting Rover' will be there to feed and make room. For directions and location to the quarry please call or email vikki@neneoverland.co.uk.

All from Nene Overland will look forward to another great weekend. The event will be supported by staff and demos from Twisted Performance, Croytec, 4x4 tyres, Land Rover Owner magazine and Protrax off road - corporate events team who will also run laser clay shooting on the Saturday.

VIP - We will need to know if you plan to participate in all or any part of the weekend so please confirm by calling or emailing vikki@neneoverland.co.uk in advance. This is especially important for the party on Saturday night so we can organise the correct amount of food etc.
