What a weekend!
Thank you to everyone who made our open day, party and offroading weekend one to remember!
Your support helped to raise £1000 for Help for Heroes – the charity for injured servicemen.
Open day on Saturday saw demonstrations by Twisted Performance, Croytec, 4x4 Tyres and Land Rover Owner.
During Saturday the field filled up with people setting up camp, getting ready for the Dingo Ugly Down Under Oz Bash 2! The 'Surfriders' got the party off to a great start and together with a disco and main band, 'The Motivators', over 400 people were soon dancing (some on the bar) having a fantastic time. The delicious food was cooked by our catering officianado, Kevin and his team, normally seen entangled with rooftents, roof racks and anything Exmoor Trim. The self inflicted entertainment from those riding the mechanical surfboard proved very popular and had a continuous flow of victims.
Sunday saw numerous bleary heads surface and get ready for the fun offroading day in the sunshine. The new venue this year was Yarwell quarry and drivers were very happy with the layout and had a wonderful day. 'Roastin' Rover', our resident Land Rover BBQ had an assisted journey to the quarry and produced mouthwatering food.
Andrew is already planning next year's shindig which we will post on our homepage as soon as the details are ready.
